Mabrian

Announcing our first client: Mabrian

Since starting Belvera Partners recently we’ve been busy with the necessary administrative duties and the official ‘launch’ too. Hopefully you’ve seen by now our Belvera B2B travel map?

But we’ve been much busier still for some months working with Mabrian, our very first client.

Mabrian is a provider of travel intelligence to destinations, hoteliers, airlines and the wider tourism sector.

The fast-growing business was founded in 2013 and just like us they are based in the Spanish Balearic Islands. Their head-office is in Mahon, on the island of Menorca and we’re based in Mallorca, a short ferry ride away.

Take note all you journalists out there: Mabrian has access to the most outstanding and complete range of tourism data available anywhere on the planet.

As part of our PR brief we are offering bespoke access to journalists looking for exclusive data and quotes! Mabrian’s main spokesperson Carlos Cendra is available 24/7 for your needs and he’s very expressive in English, Spanish and Catalan – including for live broadcasts on TV & radio.

Comparing almost any source market with almost any destination in the world, they can tell you about not just air capacity and flight reservations, but also about hotel prices and average spend once in destination for that source market (aggregated via credit card data).

They can also tell you exactly where people from different source markets hang out in the destination, as they have access to aggregated mobile phone data. Finally debates about which country really goes on holiday to engage in high-culture activities can be settled!

And they can also say what a particular source market thinks about a destination too, as they’ve a comprehensive social media monitoring tool that has indices for topics like security and climate.

Naturally journalists have been busy tapping into this source of information and we’ve been busy with briefings and interviews ever since.

What’s been the most exciting moment for us so far? Up there certainly has to be our trip together to the WTTC Global Summit that took place in Cancun, Mexico at the end of April. We met with many journalists, analysts and politicians to discuss the tourism agenda.

But perhaps the most glamourous moment came two weeks ago at FITUR in Madrid when Mabrian’s Chief Operating Officer Alex Villeyra met Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez (see photo).

Alex met Sanchez as part of a SEGITTUR group and spoke with the Prime Minster about the vital importance of the travel & tourism innovation sector to the Spanish economy – not just bringing more tourists, but exporting tourism know-how globally.

If you’d like to speak with Mabrian contact rtownsend@belverapartners.com and we can set up a meeting. More clients have also come on board recently and we´ll be announcing them in due course: watch this space.
